I was so excited when I found this vintage book printed in 1948, because it happens to be written by one of my favorite authors. If you've not had the pleasure of reading A Tree Grows in Brooklyn, you MUST! It's so eloquent and a book you will think about for many years. I will certainly be reading this novel too!
I brought this one home and painted my signature roses on the cover and binding. Book shows minimal age and only adds to the character.
Published in 1948, Tomorrow Will Be Better is a heartwarming story of love and marriage from Betty Smith, the beloved author of A Tree Grows in Brooklyn. Set in the Williamsburg and Bushwick sections of Brooklyn in the 1920s, Tomorrow Will Be Better is the story of Margy Shannon—shy, eager, joyfully optimistic—and her search for something better from life than the hard misery of poverty in which she lives.
